Demands on HR teams are increasing, and Beneration's Chief Strategy Officer Evan Rakowski discusses how you can evolve to meet them in this article for HR.com
HR departments say they don’t have time to waste
Ask any HR manager, and they’ll tell you there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to tackle their to-do lists—let alone handle unexpected emergencies that inevitably arise.
A survey of 1,000 HR leaders by Sage confirms this: 95% have taken on more responsibilities in the past year, and 91% report working longer hours to keep up. With rising demands placing more pressure on HR teams to balance employee support and human resource strategy, burnout is becoming an all-too-familiar reality.
When HR managers are stretched thin, decision-making and productivity decline, which ripples into employee satisfaction and company performance. And those challenges aren’t just tied to managing day-to-day operations anymore. Today’s HR teams are tasked with aligning their efforts with broader business goals — leveraging talent management data to identify opportunities for improving workforce well-being, retention, productivity, and more.
Yet, HR teams often find that being pulled in so many different directions makes finding the time to uncover these insights feel impossible. The easiest and most cost-effective way to solve this problem is by automating or eliminating the vast array of manual tasks that strain HR’s workload.
